Morocco wallop Tanzania to lead group F, as Chipolopolo survive DRC scare in 1-1 draw

Drama unfolded at Stade de San Pédro in group F as Chipolopolo faced the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in their inaugural game at this year’s AFCON, which ended 1-1.

An early advantage was secured by Kangwa with a remarkable goal, leaving Congo perplexed.

Despite Zambia’s lead, Yoane Wissa aimed for an equalizer, gaining success four minutes later, potentially preventing Chipolopolo’s victory.

The first half concluded with the teams level.

But there was no doubt that Sunzu’s relentless efforts were evident, saving Chipolopolo from potential setbacks.

Stopila Sunzu’s crucial intervention prevented Zambia from conceding two goals against Congo.

In the second half, DRC wasted a lot of opportunities, ending the game level.

Meanwhile, Tanzania displayed a commendable performance but fell short, unable to surpass the Atlas Lions, resulting in a decisive 3-0 victory for Morocco.
